Growing up in a family of avid chefs, Chef Supakarn, or Chef Hong, developed a passion for fresh and quality ingredients that exemplify Thai cooking tradition. As the head chef of Dara, she values the provenance of the produce above all else, showcasing her creativity and skill in crafting dishes that are flavourful, elegant and always surprising. With her no-rules philosophy, she is not afraid to experiment with different cuisines and techniques, while lessons learned in her mother’s kitchen keep her creations firmly rooted in Thai cooking.
Stargazing Artisan
Khun Bamee fell in love with the stars and the sky. While learning about constellations at her university’s astronomy club, she witnessed incredible celestial events and night sky phenomena, leading her down the path to becoming Anantara’s Sky Storyteller. Today, as she shares her passion for the celestial world with guests, Khun Bamee weaves together ancient stories and legends with the latest scientific discoveries to create an unforgettable experience of wonder and awe at Dara’s Observatory Deck.
